Former aideto Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Rosemond Obeng, has stated emphatically that her choice to switch from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was motivated more by conviction than by self-interest.
Ms Obeng stated in a video that 1957News released that she is still dedicated to the NDC.
“What I did was to rescue the soul of the country. It’s sad that some people think I did it for personal interest.”
She added that her decision was permanent.
“I am NDC now and I will continue to stay with the umbrella until I d!e.”
Additionally, Obeng denied any connection between her action and any agreement with the ruling party.
“What happened was nothing cosmetic. I didn’t cut any deal with anybody. I just spoke my truth.” She stated.
