Constituency Youth Organizers and their Deputies of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Eastern Region have congratulated the newly elected Regional Youth Organizer, Samuel Osei Sarkodie, popularly known as SOS, following his victory in the party’s recent regional executive elections.
The youth organizers paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Sarkodie on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at his private residence at Asokore Kumaa in the New Juaben North Municipality.
The visit provided an opportunity for the constituency youth leadership to formally congratulate him and present a citation in recognition of what they described as his decisive victory in the regional executives’ election held at Asamankese on August 15, 2026.
Mr. Sarkodie secured 350 votes in the election, earning him the mandate to serve as the NPP Eastern Regional Youth Organizer through 2030.
In his remarks, SOS expressed appreciation to the youth organizers and their deputies for making the journey to celebrate his victory with him.
He assured them that he would commit his available resources to strengthening the party’s youth structures across the Eastern Region and supporting constituency youth organizers in the discharge of their responsibilities.
According to him, although elections are contested at the constituency level, the youth wings of political parties remain a critical force in mobilizing supporters and voters to help their respective parties win political power.
He therefore pledged to work closely with regional and constituency youth organizers as the NPP prepares for the 2028 general election.
SOS said he was confident in the NPP’s prospects of returning to power in 2028 and indicated that his administration would focus on equipping the youth structures with the support needed to effectively engage voters and strengthen the party’s grassroots organization.
He further appealed to constituency youth organizers to maintain cordial relationships with women organizers in their respective constituencies, describing them as mothers who deserve respect and cooperation.
He stressed that stronger collaboration between the youth and women wings would contribute to building a united and attractive NPP capable of winning back the confidence of Ghanaian voters ahead of the 2028 elections.
The Dean of the Eastern Regional NPP Youth Wings, Frederick Ofosu Boateng, thanked SOS for the confidence reposed in him through his appointment as Dean.
He pledged to contribute to the effective administration of the party’s youth wing in the region and support SOS throughout his tenure as Regional Youth Organizer.
“I will contribute my quota to support you in succeeding in your tenure as Regional Youth Organizer and help bring the party to power in 2028,” he assured.
Meanwhile, the NPP Eastern Regional Women Organizer, Regina Bempong, commended SOS for introducing measures aimed at supporting constituency Youth Organizers with the resources required to perform their duties.
She urged the constituency youth leadership to intensify their engagement with voters, with particular attention to young women, as the party works to expand its support base.
According to her, sustained grassroots engagement and efforts to win over young women would be essential to the NPP’s electoral strategy ahead of the 2028 general election.
She also criticized the performance of the current National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration, arguing that its record in government had disappointed many Ghanaians.
The gathering ended with renewed calls for unity, cooperation and stronger grassroots mobilization among the NPP youth structures in the Eastern Region as the party begins preparations toward the 2028 elections.
