The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal branch has recorded 22 fire outbreaks in the second quarter of the year.
In an exclusive interview with Bryt Fm Reporter Hamza Mohammed, the Municipal Fire Commander Mr.Joseph Amehere, he explained that out of the total number of 22, Frist Quarter was 13 cases while the second quarter was also 7 with 2 car accident making 9.
The Municipal Fire commander, Mr Joseph Amehre, who described the record as alarming, stated that, in the First Quarter, 13 cases were recorded with domestic fire outbreaks tops with 9 cases and 7 cases were also recorded in the Second Quarter too as electrical fires.
He said the First Quarter cost of damage was GH¢ 325,00 and Second Quarter GH¢ 615,00. He added that author in the Frist Quarter number of fires recorded was 13 but the cost of damage was lower than the Second Quarter 7 fires but with a very high impact.
“For the Second Quarter, we had fires casualties of 5 and 3 death, 9 people were involved in an accident without any injuries but 1 person died” he added.
Mr.Joseph Amihere, therefore, advised the general public not to put much pressure on their general electric sockets by loading the socket heavily in this raining season with a very high thunder. He cautioned gas cylinders users to change their vibes and stop putting stones on top of the cylinder.
