Some Schools in 26 Municipal and District Assemblies in the Eastern Region have recorded COVID-19 cases since Schools were reopened in January 2020.
Cumulative students infected as of 12th August 2021 is 755.
Cases among students in Asuogyaman are so far leading and a total of 157 have been infected and 122 cases also have been recorded in Lower Manya Krobo.
Apart from Upper Manya Krobo, Suhum, Kwaebibirim, Ayensuano, Atiwa West, and Atiwa East, the rest have recorded COVID-19 cases.

Active cases as at – 170
Cumulative recoveries + Discharges as at – 5,000
Recovery rate as at – 94.9%
