The Public Relations Officer of the West Africa Examination Council, Agnes Teye Cudjoe, has stated that the 2021 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results are not bad.
According to the PRO, this year’s result is excellent compared to the previous years.
Speaking to Accra-based Dadi FM, the Council’s Head of Public Affairs, Agnes Teye-Cudjoe, indicated that scripts of candidates from 194 schools in certain subjects have been withheld.
She explained that investigation is ongoing with students whose results are withheld by the Council.
Agnes Teye-Cudjoe maintained that the withheld results of candidates may be cancelled or released based on the outcome of the investigations
She then appealed to students whose results are withheld to accept the outcomes after the investigation by the council.
Adding that the entire results of some 3,667 students whose results have been withheld are a move by the council to facilitate the investigation into various cases of examination malpractice detected during and after papers.
She recommended students whose results were cancelled to register for the private West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
