As part of his plans to strengthen and improve security within Obuasi areas, a renowned and well respected businessman , philanthropist and chief executive officer of AG Co-operative Credit Union , Mr Alexander Hanson Koffie has donated 2 brand new Toyota Hilux pick ups to the Obuasi Divisional Police Command in the Ashanti region to help combat crime.
The gesture, he reiterated, will help reduce the crime rate in the area and further ensure the peace and security of all residents guaranteed.
Mr. Alexander Hanson Koffie also tasked the commuters to make the police their friend and assist them with any relevant information, as and when it is needed.
The colourful ceremony which took place at the forecourt of Obuasi Central Police Station was witnessed by personalities like Hon Ing . Francis Addae Nimo , former MP for Asante Mampong, amongst other personalities.
DCOP Mr Akomea Apraku , the deputy Ashanti regional police commander, who received the keys to the 2 Toyota double cabin pick ups commended the donor Mr Alexander Hanson Koffie, also known as chairman AG for supporting the police service.
He therefore urged others to emulate such gesture since the government alone cannot support the Ghana Police Service with logistics to enhance the movement of the police service to embark upon constant patrols and combat all sorts of criminal activities.
