The Member of Parliament for Shai Osudoku constituency in Greater Accra Region Hon. Linda Obenewa Ocloo has offered a scholarship to 50 brilliant but needy students to pursue tertiary education.
The fees of the students will be paid by the MP until they complete school.
The MP similarly sponsored the education of 30 tertiary students last year.
According to the MP, funding was drawn from her share of the MP’s Education Fund and other personal sources.
Hon Linda Ocloo said education is a major weapon to shell the quagmire of poverty hence her continued investment in the sector.
She is hopeful that the beneficiaries of her scholarship package will acquire the necessary knowledge to use it to support the development of the constituency of the nation at large.
The beneficiaries expressed their joy over the scholarship and commended the MP for choosing them.
