A candidate presented by former Eastern Regional chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Bismark Tawiah Boateng shockingly secured just one vote in the Deputy women’s organizer elections held Friday.
Sahadatu Ibrahim who contested the Deputy Regional Women’s organizer election with three others polled only one vote whilst Rita Awatey Akosua had 23 votes, Linda Ahenkora – 20 votes and Faustina Effah Boadi polled 28 votes.

However, the campaign team of Bismark Tawiah Boateng disagreed and reiterated confidence in winning.
