Sports minister, Mustapha Ussif officially launched Season 2 of the Ghana Professional Boxing League at the Trust Sports Emporium in Accra on Wednesday.
The minister in his remarks congratulated the Ghana Boxing Authority and its stakeholders on a thrilling first season of the boxing league and urged them to use lessons learnt towards improving subsequent editions.
He also assured them of the Ministry’s support, as well as my cooperation towards strengthening the league, so that we can restore the country’s glory in the sport by producing more world champions in the coming years.
While commending corporate institutions who supported the highly-successful maiden edition, the minister also appealed to more cooperate bodies to come on board, and also support sports development as part of their cooperative social responsibility.
