Ex-Black Stars players Sulley Muntari, Emmanuel Agyeman Badu, Haminu Dramani, Baffour Gyan,Sulley Muntari and Asamoah Gyan were at the family house of the late Christian Atsu to commiserate with them.
The former players were in grief and could not hide their facial expression when they took turn to console family members.
The Ghanaian winger died in Turkey when he was found on Saturday after missing for about 12 days in a high magnitude earthquake that has claimed many lives.
Remains of Christian Atsu was, however, flown into Ghana on Sunday night with official handing over ceremony held at the Kotoka International Airport.
Many football fans, section of the public and family members have expressed grief in connection with the death of the player.
Meanwhile, family members and the government are currently in talks to ensure the player is given a befitting burial.
