Emmanuel Agyemang Badu says former Black Stars players will ensure the late Christian Atsu is given a befitting burial.
In an interview with Kumasi-based Wontumi FM, the former Udinese star revealed former Black Stars players plan of giving Atsu a befitting burial.
“There are plans in the pipeline but we have to go with the directives from the family. We have exchanged contacts with the family and will let them know our plans. We will also consult the leadership of the national team and see what we can do to pay our last respect. We will help in giving our brother a befitting burial”
Atsu had been trapped under rubble for over 11 days before his passing, with the earthquake claiming the lives of over 45,000 people.
The Ghanaian had recently scored his first goal for Hatayaspor just hours before the natural disaster struck.
The one-week observation of the late Ghana star has been scheduled for March 4, 2023.
