Black stars assistant head coach, Mashud Didi-Dramani has justified the 25 man squad of head coach Chris Hughton which features no player form the domestic scene for the upcoming Afcon 2023 double header qualifier against Angola.
In an interview with citi sports the former Kumasi Asante Kotoko trainer explained that the move is as a result of wanting consistency with the selection for players and the timing of the double header against Angola.
He further cautioned against overstating the absence of local based players in the squad, saying doing so could spread negativity around the league and reduce the attention the domestic league gets.
