Sports minister Mustapha Ussif attended the NBA Africa Jr. Youth Clinic at the Trust Sports Emporium with the 2nd Gentleman of the United States, Douglas Emhoff, the US Deputy Chief of Mission, Nicole Chulick, the CEO of NBA Africa, Victor Williams, the leadership of the Ghana Basketball Federation, and other stakeholders.
The event which was linked to the visit of the Vice President of the United States of America, H. E. Kamala Harris was the first ever all-girls Jnr. NBA Clinic organized.
The event featured a basketball clinic for 60 girls aged 18 and younger and a life skills seminar led by 2003 WNBA champion Astou Ndiaye.
The minister applauded the NBA Africa and the Ghana Basketball Federation for their initiative and assured them of the government’s unwavering dedication to helping the sport grow in Ghana.
He also used the opportunity to reiterate the numerous sports infrastructure projects embarked by the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led administration to promote and develop sports in general.
