The annual paragliding festival is a highlight of the Easter Festival in the Eastern Region; designed to bring awareness to the eco-system by conserving and preserving nature.
According to the Eastern Regional minister Seth Kwame Acheampong, government is to use this opportunity to inspire and direct our youth to experience the true benefits and worth of conservation tourism.
“It is my hope that as we continue to celebrate our conservation and preservation of our eco-system, the youth will develop interest in saying no to poaching, illegal mining (galamsey) and the wanton destruction of our forest reserves” he stated.
The Regional minister at this year’s event added “I wish everyone particularly all revelers a Happy Easter as the 2023 paragliding festival kicks off once again at the Odweanoma Mountain, Atibie”.
