A woman has committed suicide by allegedly drinking suspected poisonous substance .
The deceased (name withheld) took the poison while in her room in a house at Pipeline a suburb of Koforidua, Eastern regional capital.
She was found dead with foam around the mouth.
The body has been taken to the morgue by Police pending autopsy to establish the exact cause of death.
However, residents claim she drunk poison as residue of the substance was reportedly found beside her.
The cause of her action is not known.
Assembly member for the area Mumuni Laminu told mybrytfmonline.com he heard about the incident after the Police went for the body.
According to him ,the incident has come as a shock to many residents in the Electoral Area.
Effort to reach the police proved futile.
The deceased left behind yet to be known number of children.
