On Thursday 22nd June 2023, the Upper West Region hosted a workshop on the implementation of the Black Volta ESCO objectives at Blue Hill Hotel, Wa.
Participants are from the Black Volta ESCO member regions of the Upper West Region (Ghana), Bourkani Region (Cote d’Ivoire), and South West Region (Burkina Faso).
The Black Volta ESCO Community was established in September 2019 to foster a close relationship between the three-member regions to respond appropriately to climate, social, economic, and security problems we face.
While the Upper East Regional minister, Dr. Bin Salih Hafiz led the Ghana delegation, the Governor of the Bourkani Region, Philip Hein led the delegation from Cote d’Ivoire and that of Burkina Faso is led by the Governor of South West Region, Davadogo Boureima.
The workshop will end on Saturday 24th June 2023.
