Bibiani Gold Star Football Club Supporters Union has successfully elected their new executives to properly steer the affairs of the Union.
The election process, described by members of the Union as peaceful and successful, was supervised by top officials of the Electoral Commission (EC) led by Augustine Archer the Returning Officer.
By their election, the newly elected executives have been given a two-year mandate to stay in office and implement their programmes and policies to help improve the fortunes of the Club and the Union.
The historic election was held at Bibiani Dun’s Park on August 30, 2023, and there were wild jubilations across the election venue after the EC team announced the names of those who emerged as winners.
The incumbent Chairman Mr.Jonathan Appiah popularly known as Apitoloo challenged with Mr.Antwi Kwabena Boateng also known as AKB.
Out of the 91 valid votes cast, the incumbent Chairman Apitoloo had 48 votes while his competitor AKB also pulled out 43 votes.
The newly elected executives included Mr. Jonathan Appiah ( Apitoloo),Vice Chairman Mr. Benjamin Turkson,
Womens Organizer Mrs.Antwiwah Edith,Mr. Solomon Nyame Treasure.
The rest of the executives are;
Mr. Castro Boateng as General Secretary
Mr. Emmanuel Hayford Assistance as Secretary
Organizer: Mr.Hudu Zackari and Public Relations Officer
PRO: Mr. Emmanuel Ackah.
Beaming with broad smiles, the newly elected chairman, Apitoloo , assured the Union that his team would unite the rank and file of the Union and also work assiduously to improve their fortunes.
Speaking with Hamza Mohammed , he, however, stated emphatically that law and order would be the order of the day in the association during their two-year tenure, saying indiscipline would not be entertained in the Union.
Chairman Apitoloo, who is much respected and adored in the Union, also assured them to practice a transparent administration where opinions and concerns of every member would be respected.
On his part, the vice chairman, Mr. Benjamin Turson, promised that the entire executives would unite as one people with a common purpose to help their chairman to lead the Union into affluence.
