Toddler has been burnt to ashes at Kasoa Kumbe in Opeikuma – Krispocity Electoral Area in the Awutu Senya East Municipality after he was dumped behind school building by an unknown person.
The incident happened on Tuesday evening at about 6pm.
According to some residents, in the morning of Tuesday, they saw that a polythene rubber was wrapped and dumped behind one school building but they thought it was a mere rubbish.
Information gathered says that, in the morning, one lady who swept the area collected the wrapped polythene and dump it at refuse dump.
Late in the evening, the lady set fire into the gathered rubbish while the rubbish was burning the lady went inside the house but to her suprise during her return, she saw the toddler burnt together with the wrapped polythene she picked behind the school building.
An eyewitness, Abdul Allahasan Razak narrated that, the lady did not know the toddler was inside that polythene and he was already dead.
He said, they don’t know the mother of that toddler and they don’t suspect anyone in the area.
Meanwhile, Unit Committee chairman at Opeikuma – Krispocity Electoral Area, Hon. Siisey said, they have made an official report to the police at Kasoa Division command and investigations are ongoing.
