FC Samartex 1996 have arrived in Cameroon ahead of their CAF Champions League game against Victoria United.
The Timber giants touched down in Douala, the capital of Cameroon on Thursday morning for the crucial preliminary round game scheduled for Sunday, August 18, 2024.
Samartex are brimming with confidence ahead of the game against the Cameroonian champions this weekend.
The Ghana Premier League champions will host Victoria United in the return fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium a week later.
However, they will be hoping to secure a favorable result against Victoria United as they aim qualification to the next stage of the qualifiers.
Samartex are representing Ghana for the first time in the CAF elite competition after emerging as champions in the recently concluded Ghana Premier League season, dethroning Medeama.
