Ghana international Inaki Williams has been nominated for the Spanish La Liga Player of the Month award following his swashbuckling performance for Athletic Bilbao in September.
The Black Stars forward was instrumental for Bilbao, contributing five goals in four matches. Williams scored one goal and provided four assists across the period for his outfit.
The former Spanish international will be hoping to secure the top-most award.
Meanwhile, Williams faces competition from Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe, Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, Alaves’ Carlos Vicente, and Real Betis’ Giovani Lo Celso.
The 29-year-old is expected to be a key player for Ghana in the upcoming 2025 AFCON qualifying doubleheader against Sudan next month.
Ghana commenced the AFCON 2025 qualifiers on a poor note, losing one and drawing one in their opening games.
They will be looking forward to revive their qualifying campaign when thet take on Sudan in October.
