Ghanaian defender Mohammed Umar has signed with Romanian SuperLiga club FC Politehnica Iasi until 2027.
Umar was captain for Ghana U17 at the 2017/2018 WAFU tournament in Niger.
The centre-back joins the Romanian side as a free agent, having previously played for Finnish club Ilves, where he was a key player.
The 21-year-old had been called to the Ghana U20 just before he went to Finland.
There, he won the Finnish Cup and helped Ilves reach the Europa League in his final season.
