Nsukwao District of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) has successfully held 2024 Church extension (Asempatrew) and Thanksgiving service in the New Juaben South Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The church, as part of the 2024 Asempatrew activities, organized a blood donation exercise to support the Eastern Regional Hospital Blood Bank to help save lives and improve health conditions in the region.
The church also embarked on a clean-up exercise, which aimed to promote proper hygiene and remind people of the importance of maintaining a healthy and safe environment in the municipality.
The Nsukwao District Minister for PCG Calvary Congregation, Rev. Daniel Ofori Appiah, explained that the church’s main focus is to win more souls for Christ through the Asempatrew activities.
Rev. Daniel Appiah shared his thoughts on the upcoming elections. He revealed that the church invited parliamentary candidates in the New Juaben South Constituency to participate in the 2024 Asempatra Thanksgiving ceremony.
Speaking to Nhyirba Solomon Nartey of Bryt FM after the Thanksgiving ceremony, Rev. Daniel Appiah underscored the importance of unity and peaceful coexistence, especially during periods of political tension, urging the public to prioritize peace during the elections.
He said that the church aimed to promote a harmonious electoral process and foster dialogue and cooperation among political parties.
Rev. Daniel Appiah affirmed that the church will uphold its values for sustainable growth and transformation.
The theme for the 2025 Ecclesiastical Year was dubbed “Celebrating Our Heritage: Persisting In Mission.’’
