Black Stars captain Andre Ayew is buzzing after netting season debut goal for Le Havre in heavy defeat against Olympique Marseille.
Ayew lasted 88 minutes as Le Havre succumbed to a disappointing 5-1 defeat to Marseille at the Orange Vélodrome.
Despite defeat, Ayew showcased glimpses of good performance by scoring a consolation goal for the club.
“As a forward, you can have a bad match but when you score, it is considered a good game and vice versa. I am feeling better, I worked hard during the (Christmas) holidays. I felt it today in this match; the more the match progressed, the more I felt better. I felt better, it bodes well.”
Since joining the club in October, the Ghana international has racked up 10 appearances, scoring one goal across the period.
Last season, the experienced forward scored six goals in 20 appearances in all competitions for Le Havre as they escaped relegation.
