Coventry City manager Frank Lampard says he will not criticize Ghana forward Brandon Thomas-Asante for their defeat against Norwich City in the English Championship.
Asante lasted the entire duration when his fell short to Norwich City in the highly-competitive clash at the weekend.
Coventry succumbed to a 2-1 defeat after throwing away their one-goal lead in the match.
Ghanaian midfielder Forson Amankwah fired a brace to inspire Norwich City’s comeback win over Coventry.
Prior to Amankwah’s brilliant brace, Thomas-Asante had missed a big scoring opportunity in the second half.
At the post-match conference, Lampard refused to criticize the former West Bromwich Albion forward for the defeat.
“I’m never one to criticize, everyone wants to score. If we get that right we probably win the game, but it wasn’t to be if he would have scored his chance, he would have fully deserved that” Lampard stated.
The Black Stars striker has made 27 appearances since joining Coventry in the summer from West Bromwich Albion.
