Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, Hon. George Opare Addo on Monday had the pleasure of receiving a delegation from the UNESCO Ghana office to discuss Ghana’s vision and sustainable programs for youth development.
Their meeting focused on key areas such as agribusiness, ICT, artificial intelligence, and technical vocational training.
Additionally, the minister met with representatives from the Ghana Association of Start-Ups, led by their President, Solomon Adjei.
They explored collaborative opportunities between the Ministry and the association to promote growth for youth-led businesses and empower young entrepreneurs.
Further, they discussed plans to align Ghana Start-Up Week with International Youth Month.
The team also presented a draft of the Ghana National Start-Up Strategy, a comprehensive five-year plan aimed at encouraging more young people to pursue entrepreneurship and achieve success.
“On behalf of the ministry, I extend my gratitude to both organizations for their commitment and dedication to fostering an environment where young people can thrive and contribute to building a better Ghana”, Opare Addo stated.
