Sefwi Bodi lawmaker Sampson Ahi has challenged Ghanaians to get on board with government new policy ‘Feed Ghana’ to help produce more for both local and foreign benefits.
According to the member of Food and Agriculture committee, the new program by the NDC-led government is a way of ensuring that Ghanaians produce more food to feed on and thereby, help reduce exportation of foods from other countries.
Speaking to Kwamina Sam Biney on Bryt Adekyee Mu Nsem in Friday, Mr. Ahi explained that the policy can be compared to the ‘Operation Feed Yourself’ policy initiated by the Acheampong administration.
He added the program is targeted at all institutions, religious groups and individuals and not only farmers alone and therefore, charged Ghanaians to buy into the idea of the ‘Feed Ghana’ initiative.
President Mahama is expected to launch the ‘Feed Ghana’ initiative aimed at securing food security in the country.
