Queen Mothers of the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council, led by Her Royal Majesty Nana Adutwumwaa Dokua, the Okyehemaa, on Wednesday April 16,2025 paid a courtesy call on the former First Lady, H.E. Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo, in Accra.
The visit was to express their profound gratitude to the former First Lady for her generous donation of a bus to the Akyem Abuakwa Queen Mothers Association to facilitate their travels and other engagements.
The bus was presented through The Rebecca Foundation, a charitable organization founded by Mrs. Akufo-Addo, which has spearheaded numerous initiatives in education, health, and women’s empowerment across Ghana.
Speaking during the visit, the Queen Mothers commended Mrs. Akufo-Addo for her continued commitment to women and community development. They noted that the bus would significantly ease their mobility and enhance their work within the traditional council.
