Ashanti Regional Minister Dr Frank Amoakohene had the distinct honor of welcoming His Majesty the King of Eswatini to the Ashanti Region, accompanied by a delegation from Manhyia led by Nana Otuo Serebuo, the Juabenhene.
He was joined by the Regional Security Council (REGSEC) in extending their warmest greetings.
The king earlier called on the President John Dramani Mahama at thee Jubilee House and proceeded to Kumasi where he is booked to meet the King, Otumfour.
In his welcome remarks , the minister emphasized the importance of strengthening the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), a vision His Majesty holds dear.
“The Ashanti Region, with its strategic position in trade and industry, stands ready to lead in this transformative agenda.
I also highlighted opportunities for deeper collaboration between Eswatini and Ashanti in the areas of culture, education, and tourism. Together, let us build the bridges that unite Africa.
Booked for his visits he will join the National house of Chiefs and also visit Otumfour at the Manhyia Palace”.
