Former Ghana coach Otto Addo will serve as a member of the FIFA Technical Study Group for the upcoming 2026 World Cup.
The expanded global tournament, which runs from June 11 to July 19 will be co-hosted in the United States, Canada and Mexico, with 48 countries set to battle it out for the covetous trophy.
As the tournament approaches, the world’s football governing body has unveil an 11-member panel assembled to provide advanced tactical and technical analysis throughout the tournament, with Otto Addo no exception.
The Technical Study Group is guided by former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and includes several respected football figures from across the world.
The former Ghana coach will work with top football personalities including former Germany coach Jurgen Klinsmann, Gilberto Silva, Pablo Zabaleta and Jon Dahl Tomasson.
Addo, who qualified Ghana to the World Cup but was sacked less than three months before the tournament, is the only African representative on the panel.
The group will observe all 104 matches at the tournament and identify tactical, technical and physical trends shaping modern football.
The Technical Study Group will also be responsible for selecting the official tournament award winners during the World Cup.
