The Ministry to Celebrities at the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Koforidua, on Sunday afternoon held its maiden lunch meeting with celebrities and creative industry players in Koforidua.
The meeting aimed at formally introducing the Ministry to Celebrities to participants and outlining plans and activities towards 2026.
The meeting brought together upcoming musicians, bloggers, DJs, broadcast journalists, lecturers, event organisers, and fashion industry experts, among others.
In attendance were the Resident Pastor of PIWC–Koforidua, Pastor Theodore Ashia, and his wife, Mrs. Eunice Ashia, who also serves as the Koforidua Area Coordinator of the Ministry to Celebrities, as well as members of the celebrities committee.
Delivering the opening address, Pastor Theodore Ashia explained that the ministry seeks to create awareness among celebrities that their talents, skills, and influence are gifts from God meant to be used to manifest His glory. He urged participants to always recognise the “God factor” in their careers and not lose sight of their salvation, regardless of their status or public influence.
The Koforidua Area Coordinator of the Ministry to Celebrities, Isaac Apraku-Boadu, encouraged participants to invite their colleagues to actively take part in the ministry’s activities to help expand its reach and impact.
Leader of the Ministry to Celebrities, Elder Paa Kwasi, noted that beyond spiritual guidance, the ministry will also focus on capacity-building programmes aimed at helping celebrities and creatives improve their skills and advance their careers.
Some participants commended the Church of Pentecost for the initiative, describing it as timely and relevant in addressing both the spiritual needs of people in the creative and media space.
Some lamented that they are misjudged by their appearance and what they do particularly among Christians which discourages them hence lauded The Church of Pentecost for the visionary intervention.
