The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly, Hon. Ransford Owusu Boakye, has highlighted several development projects undertaken by the Assembly, emphasizing his administration’s commitment to improving the lives of residents across the municipality.
Speaking on Bryt FM’s morning current affairs programme, Adekyee Mu Nsem, Hon. Owusu Boakye stated that significant progress has been made in key sectors, particularly in the provision of potable water to communities.
According to the MCE, when he assumed office, the municipality had only about 12 boreholes. However, through the Assembly’s intervention, many more boreholes have been constructed to address water challenges facing residents. He clarified that the borehole projects were executed in 2025 and not in 2026 as some people have claimed.
Hon. Owusu Boakye further outlined several infrastructure projects currently underway within the municipality. He cited the Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compound at Agavenya and other projects in various communities, noting that most of them are between 70 and 80 percent complete.
The MCE also touched on developments in the education sector, revealing that the Zion School Block project was completed some time ago and is already benefiting students and teachers. He stressed that the Assembly remains committed to improving educational infrastructure to support quality teaching and learning.
He assured residents that all ongoing projects would be completed and that the Assembly would continue to initiate programmes aimed at enhancing access to water, healthcare, education, and other essential services.
Hon. Ransford Owusu Boakye called on residents to support the Assembly’s development agenda, expressing confidence that the municipality would witness even greater progress in the coming years.
