The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Yilo Krobo, Hon. Francis Akumatey Addo, has urged students to reject the growing belief among young people that juju or other supernatural powers could enable them succeed in their education and life in general, insisting that faith in God, hard work and discipline are the true foundations for achievement.
According to him, many young people are being deceived into believing that political, academic and professional success can only be attained through spiritual manipulation, a notion he described as false.
“I am a politician, and let me tell you this: let no one deceive you that you need extra power before you succeed. It is a falsehood. God is the ultimate,” he stated.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony of Hoffnung Academy at Okwenya-Somanya in the Yilo Krobo Municipality, Hon. Akumatey Addo said every great accomplishment begins with a vision but requires sacrifice, perseverance and unwavering commitment to become reality.
He explained that the journey towards success is often filled with challenges and distractions, sometimes even from people closest to an individual, but encouraged the students not to abandon their dreams because of such obstacles.
The MCE advised the learners to remain focused on their education, obey their parents and teachers, and uphold good moral values, assuring them that their future would be bright if they relied on God and remained diligent.
He further congratulated the graduating students and commended the management and teachers of Hoffnung Academy for their dedication to nurturing responsible future leaders through quality education.
