President Akufo Addo has said his government doesn’t want any violence in the upcoming parliamentary and presidential elections.
During his address to the chiefs and people of Bamiankor in the Nzema East Municipality of the Western Region, His Excellency assured Ghanaians that the 2020 general elections are going to peaceful and smoothly.
According to him, an election is about sharing ideas and not about confusion or violence and that his government will put measures in place to make election 2020 peaceful.
He warned that some individuals and groups that have the propensity of creating disorder come December 7, but he will not tolerate such deviant act under his watch as President.
President Akufo-Addo also revealed to the gathering that he is delivering his promises made to the Western Region to fix the deplorable roads he inherited from the previous government.
He toured five Constituencies in the Western Region which included Ahanta West where he cut the sod for the construction of a 3.5kilometer road from Akyernyin Nkwanta to the Egyam grotto a catholic spiritual renewal centre.
The President Akufo-Addo cut the sod for the commencement of Nsuaem senior school and commissioned a community mining in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality.
The President inspected the ongoing Axim sea defence and the fish landing site as well as commissioned a community mining at Gwira Bamiankor and inspected road projects of the Nzema East Municipality.
In Ellembele, the President inspected the much-talked-about Essiama- Nkroful road and cut the sod for other road projects in the district as well.
He ended his tour at Aboso where he also commissioned a community program and cut sod for a gold processing plant.
