Five persons have been confirmed dead while 12 injured in the fatal accident which occured at Nsawam town in Eastern region.
The accident occured Monday February 7,2022 at Mobil ,a popular area in Nsawam at about 11:30am when trailer truck with registration number GT 7176 N loaded with cement failed brakes while descending a hill from the veterinary office towards Nsawam township.

The vehicle rammed into seven (7) taxi cabs, one (1)VW saloon car, one (1) Sprinter bus and one(1) mini van.

Five (5) Persons were confirmed dead instantly and their mutilated bodies were gathered into polythene bags to the morgue at Nsawam Hospital where the injured were admitted for emergency care.

There was brisk market activities and trading in town since it was a market day hence the high number of casualties.
Rescue team made up of NADMO, Police ,Fire Service ,and Ambulance service were busy at the scene for rescue operation.
Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament for Nsawam Adoagyiri ,Frank Annor Dompreh has commiserated with he victims.
He posted on Facebook, “I was at the scene of a fatal road accident at “Nsawam Mobil”, which claimed 5 lives & left 12 people with serious injuries. I pray for the peaceful repose of the deceased & speedy recovery of the injured. Emergency services & police are also at the scene managing the situation.”
