The Parish Priest for the Saint Theresa Catholic Church in Suhum of the Catholic Diocese of Koforidua, Monsignor Paul Lawer Kodjo has charged the Youth to submit themselves to Instructions and allow their leaders and parents to control them to become responsible men and women for the Country.
According to him, the future of the youth is not automatic, rather,nit is the youth who prepare and discipline themselves to take over in the future and expressed worry over immoral acts by some of the youth from Senior High School.
Speaking at Suhum during a special Mass to elevate a former chairman of the Ghana Catholic Youth Organisation, Senior Crusader Gabriel Maurice Narh Nartey to Most Senior Crusader” title, Monsignor Paul Lawer said “when you do something that is wrong,for me i can’t keep quiet. We will support and control you. You must enjoy the gift of God in the land of the living. You enjoy the paternity of God in the land of the living so that the glory and honour that God has for you will be yours and only if you work for it.
He pledged the Church’s readiness to control and support members in the Catholic Youth Organisation to become true friends of God and Responsible citizens of the Country.
He called on the Youth to exercise patience and wait for the Lord to promote them.
Monsignor Paul Lawer Kodjo congratulated Most Senior Crusader Gabriel Maurice Narh Nartey for his promotion to the highest title in the Catholic Youth Organisation.
He called on him to use his position and promotion to discipline the Youth in the Organisation to be responsible in the future, calling on him to be fair and firm always.
The Priest called on the Leader to be role model, mentor, control temperament and set good example and seek for wisdom, knowledge and Prudent from the Lord.
Most Senior Crusader Gabriel Maurice Narh Nartey expressed his appreciation to his family and members of the Organisation for supporting him to explore his knowledge and skills for the Catholic Youth Organisation.
At the colourful ceremony was organized by National Management Council and National Executive Board and brought together crusaders from the Diocese of Koforidua and others Diocese.
