Education minister Haruna Iddrisu had the privilege of representing His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama at the 63rd Annual Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS) in Sunyani, the Bono Regional capital, themed: “Ensuring Comprehensive Equitable and Sustainable Secondary Education in Ghana”.
At the conference, the minister announced the timely release of GHS 9.5 million by the government of President Mahama through Getfund to Primetime Limited, organisers of the National Science and Mathematics Quiz (NSMQ), to settle arrears from 2023–2025.
Another GHS 186 million has been disbursed through the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) to support student feeding under the Free Senior High School programme for the month of June, 2025.
These interventions underscore the Government’s unwavering commitment to sustaining quality education and supporting students and institutions.
