The District Chief Executive for Ahafo Ano South West in the Ashanti Region,Hon. Abubakar Sedik, has commended Wiowso Senior High School for its remarkable impact on education in the district.
Speaking at the school’s 10th anniversary celebration, Hon. Sedik praised the institution’s commitment to empowering learners in rural communities through education and agriculture.
The event, held under the theme “A Decade of Growth, Empowering Learners in Rural Communities Through Education and Agriculture,” brought together traditional leaders, educators, students, and stakeholders to celebrate the school’s achievements and reaffirm their commitment to supporting its growth.
In his address, Hon. Sedik announced that the government has absorbed Wiowso Senior High School, and 69 private schools in the region and also absorb 49 teaching and non-teaching staff put on the government’s payroll.
He pledged the district assembly’s continuous collaboration with the school to strengthen educational infrastructure and opportunities for learners.
“We are proud of the impact Wiowso Senior High School has made in our district, and we are committed to working with the school to ensure that our children receive the best possible education,” Hon. Sedik said.
He added that, the district assembly has also brought about 300 dual dusk for the students to be in the school
