Ghanaian musician Kwesi Arthur has made grave accusations against Glen Boateng, the CEO and founder of Ground Up Chale, the label that had signed him.
Kwesi Arthur stated on his Instagram page that he is being requested to pay $150,000 for the use of his photos in a current project. According to him, Ground Up Chale has been demanding control of his music, image, and all other aspects of his business since 2016.
“If anything happens to me, Glen Boateng and all team members of Ground Up Chale are responsible and should be held responsible,” the musician wrote.
Kwesi Arthur claimed that even though he is no longer connected to the business, Glen Boateng still puts pressure on him. He asserted that during the years he was employed by the label, he did not get any payment for his music.
“I have not made a dime from any of my music within the period I worked with them for years now,” he said.
He added that he has been intimidated and controlled by Glen Boateng. The rapper claims that these acts have had an impact on his mental and general well-being.
“I receive constant threats and manipulation from Glen who is living off of my money and hard work,” he wrote.
