Atiwa East Member of Parliament, Abena Osei Asare has held sod-cutting ceremonies at Tiawai-Subriso, Abekoase, Enyiresi, Anyinam, and Adasewase in the Atiwa East Constituency.
These were to allow contractors to begin the construction of five educational infrastructure projects.
The projects includes; a 6-unit classroom block and 6-seater toilet facility at Tiawia Subriso, a 6-unit classroom block and 6-seater toilet facility at Abekoase SDA school, a 6-unit classroom block and 6-seater toilet facility at Enyirsi R/C School, a 6-unit classroom block and 6-seater facility at Adasewase Methodist school and a 2 storey 8-unit Girls and Boys Dormitory block at the newly built Anyinam TVET Centre to turn it into a Secondary-Technical Vocational school.
His Excellency the President, Nana Addo Akufo Addo, has made education a focal point in his administration to ensure that every child gets the value of education.
In keeping with this vision, the MP who is also the Deputy Finance minister lobbied for these projects to improve educational infrastructure in the constituency.
These projects would help replace the old, dilapidated classroom blocks and improve the conditions under which pupils in the various schools are studying.
In her address, Hon. Osei Asare expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the DCE, the District Director of Education, the Chiefs, and the various communities for their support.
She urged them to take ownership of the project and support the contractors so the project can be completed and commissioned as scheduled.
