A sod-cutting ceremony has been performed for the construction of boarding dormitory facility at Pentecost Preparatory School in Koforidua in the Eastern region.
The ceremony was performed by Koforidua Area Head of The Church of Pentecost Apostle Mike Kwame Etrue ,backed by Effiduase Area Head Pastor Stephen Okyere Acheampong with support by district pastors ,and delegation from Estate Department , COP Headquarters.
The site was handed over to the constructor, Mozark Advance Construction Limited own by Elder Paa Kwasi of PIWC-KOFORIDUA who won the contract through competitive biding.
The 280 bed capacity facility for both male and female students with library, and learning room expected to be completed within two years, will provide boarding accommodation for Parents particularly Pastors of the Church of Pentecost want their children to be in boarding.
The Architect in charge of the Project ,Professor Daniel Y.A Duah ,Dean International Programmes Office,KNUST ,a member of the Church of Pentecost provided some architectural details of the project stating that it will become one of the best dormitories in Ghana.
Headmaster of Pentecost Preparatory School Elder Gabriel Amiteye said Pentecost Preparatory School is the best private school in new Juaben municipality and tops all in BECE hence high desire for enrollment by parents.
Currently the population of the school is about 1,200 which is expected to increase this academic year.
He thanked Apostle Eric Nyamekye and Apostle S.O Asante for accepting the proposal for boarding status and supporting it to come into fruition.
Pentecost preparatory school recently dedicated a brand new bus bringing to three buses in the fleet.
