Thomas Ampem Nyarko, the Member of Parliament for Asuogyaman joined his constituents to celebrate the 66th Independence Anniversary of Ghana at the Akosombo Lorry Park.
As one of the speakers at the district event, he used the opportunity to pay tribute to Our Founder, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah who spearheaded the struggle that eventually led to our emancipation from British Colonial Rule on Wednesday, 6th March, 1957.
As part of activities to mark the occasion, deserving students and pupils from across the district were awarded.
On his part, the MP gave an amount of GHC5,000 to the 2022 District Best BECE candidate, Miss Zascot Eyram Agoda, formally of Anum Presbyterian JHS.
The young and brilliant lady scored One(1) in all eight subjects and currently a first year student of Mawuli School in Ho.
The MP specially congratulate all Ghanaians on the occasion of our 66th Independence Celebration even as we struggle to survive under the current Economic Hardship occasioned by gross incompetence and mismanagement by the NPP government under Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo and Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
