Black Stars new coach Chris Hughton is expected to arrive in Ghana on Thursday, March 16, 2023 ahead of his unveiling next week.
Hughton was appointed last month to replace Otto Addo, who resigned after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The former Brighton manager will be assisted by Didi Dramani and George Boateng who also served under Otto Addo.
The unveiling of Hughton as coach of the national team delayed due to the death of his father.
Hughton was expected to arrive in Ghana for his unveiling before March, but he had to stay behind in the UK to mourn his father’s passing.
The Irish-Ghanaian is now set to arrive in Ghana tomorrow for his official unveiling on next Monday, March 20, 2023.
The four-time African champions will play host to Angola on March 23 at the Baba Yara Stadium before the reverse fixture in Luanda on March 27.
The Black Stars lead Group E of the qualifiers with four points, followed by Angola who are also on four points before Central African Republic and Madagascar follow in that order.
