The Minister for Education, Hon Haruna Iddrisu has inaugurated an eight-member committee, appointed by H.E. President John Dramani Mahama, to oversee the planning and organization of the National Education Forum.
This forum will provide a platform for critical discussions and strategic policy development aimed at enhancing Ghana’s education system.
The committee is chaired by former Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast, Professor George K. T. Oduro, with members including Professor Goski Alabi, Professor Rosemary Bosu, Dr. Samuel Awuku, and Professor Smile Dzisi.

The other members are Kofi Asare, Stephen Owusu, and Inusah Shiraz.
The committee has been tasked with submitting its report and plan within two weeks.
Through this initiative, the Ministry seeks to engage key education stakeholders in shaping policies that will drive long-term improvements in learning outcomes, infrastructure, and teacher development.
The forum will also explore innovative solutions to address current challenges in the education sector, ensuring that Ghana’s education system remains competitive and aligned with global standards.
