The management of Brother Tarcisius Prosthetics and Orthotics Training College (BTPOTC) in Nsawam, Eastern Region, is celebrating an outstanding academic achievement by one of its students, Mr. Jefferson Adu-Gyamfi, who has been adjudged the Overall Best Graduating Student at the 11th Graduation Ceremony for Ministry of Health Training Institutions in Ghana.
The prestigious event, organized by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), took place on Tuesday, 30th April 2025 at the KNUST Great Hall in Kumasi.
Out of over 16,500 graduating students from various disciplines across the country, Jefferson Adu-Gyamfi emerged as the overall best, recording an impressive Cumulative Weighted Average (CWA) of 83.6% — the highest at the ceremony.
In a statement, the Principal of BTPOTC, Mr. Henry Larbi, expressed profound pride in the achievement, describing it as a significant milestone in the college’s history.
“This is a proud and historic moment for our college. It’s not about the numbers but the quality — and Jefferson has demonstrated what excellence, discipline, and dedication can achieve,” Mr. Larbi remarked.
He commended the collective efforts of the college’s teaching and non-teaching staff, whose commitment and dedication, he noted, played a crucial role in supporting Jefferson’s academic success.
“The team at BTPOTC continues to build a culture of excellence, empowering students to rise to national and global standards in prosthetics and orthotics. This recognition affirms that we are on the right path,” Mr. Larbi added.
