The Member of Parliament for Fanteakwa North, Hon. Kwame Appiah Kodua, continues to demonstrate his strong commitment to education and development across the Fanteakwa North District.
The MP donated 40 pieces of streetlights to Presbyterian Senior High School,Begoro, following a request made by the Headmaster during the recent Independence Day celebration. True to his word, Hon. Kodua fulfilled this promise within just a few weeks.
The donation, valued at GHS 30,000.00,Ghana cedis was received on behalf of the School by
Mr. George Boboyo – Assistant Headmaster (Administration)
Mr. Lawrence Asinor – Assistant Headmaster (Academics)
Mr.Isaac Amoah,Senior Housemaster
Mr. Stephen Atua – SRC Coordinator
Also present were PTA Executives of the School namely: Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Some Parents and a cross section of Students.
In his remarks, the Assistant Headmaster for Administration, Mr George Boboyo expressed sincere appreciation to the MP for his swift response, noting that the Streetlights will significantly improve security and visibility in the School.
Hon. Kwame Appiah Kodua, together with his team and engineers, later visited the Presbyterian College of Health, which is currently undergoing a major renovation and is expected to begin academic activities in September.
During the visit, the MP donated 30 pieces of streetlights,also valued at 24,000.00 Ghana Cedis to the Institution to enhance security and improve the learning environment.
The items were received on behalf of the School by Mrs. Carol Boateng -The Principal of the College of Health, Begoro
and Rev. Jacob Kofi Mensah – The District Pastor of the Presbyterian Church -Begoro.Present were some church members showing strong community and church support for the Institution.
In her remarks, the Principal expressed deep gratitude to the MP for his timely intervention, emphasizing that the support will go a long way in improving visibility and enhance security in the School.
Additionally, Hon. Kodua pledged to fully take care of the renovation of the Principal’s office, covering painting, furniture,air conditioners, and all the necessary fittings.
He praised the Presbyterian Church of Ghana for the commendable efforts toward strengthening education, healthcare training, and infrastructure in Fanteakwa North.
