In a move aimed at strengthening collaboration and involvement in the delivery of quality education, the Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the full reinstatement of Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs) in all pre-tertiary schools across the country.
The directive for the reinstatement of PTAs was issued by His Excellency, the President of the Republic, John Dramani Mahama. The GES has instructed all Heads of Public Senior High, Technical, and STEM Schools to immediately implement this directive.
The GES stated that further guidelines detailing the structure, roles, and financial accountability mechanisms for the effective functioning of PTAs will be issued in due course. These measures are intended to promote transparency, uniformity, and efficiency in the operations of PTAs nationwide.

REINSTATEMENT OF PARENT-TEACHER ASSOCIATIONS (PTAs) IN PRE-TERTIARY SCHOOLS NATIONWIDE
The Ghana Education Service (GES) is pleased to inform the general public, particularly parents, teachers, and all stakeholders in the education sector, of a directive issued by His Excellency, the President of the Republic, John Dramani Mahama. This directive calls for the full reinstatement of Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs) in all pre-tertiary schools across the country.
In accordance with this directive, the Management of GES has instructed all Heads of Public Senior High, Technical, and STEM Schools to immediately implement the reinstatement of PTAs. This initiative aims to strengthen the collaboration and involvement of parents, communities, and teachers in delivering quality education to Ghanaian learners.
Further guidelines detailing the structure, roles, and financial accountability mechanisms for the effective functioning of PTAs will be issued in due course. These measures are intended to promote transparency, uniformity, and efficiency in the operations of PTAs nationwide.
