The Deputy Minister for Information, Mr Pius Hadzide has said that Ghanaians will judge President Akufo Addo and the Former President John Dramani Mahama on their track records as Ghanaians are preparing for December 7, polls.
According to him, the ruling government is confident as he believes the party has executed most of the promises they made in their 2016 manifesto.
Mr. Hadzide continued that they believe and trust the people of Ghana that they will go to the polls and will make their assessments of political parties and with their track record and credibility of their promises.
He added that the two leading political parties and contenders have all had their chances on the seat of government.
To him, the resignation of the Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu will not affect the victory of the governing New Patriotic Party in the 2020 polls.
“Martin Amidu’s resignation is not a reflection of Akufo-Addo’s fight against corruption and would not affect the opinion of Ghanaians on the track record of the NPP,’’ said Mr Hadzide.
Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu resigned from his office on Monday, November 16, 2020, citing a lack of independence and freedom to discharge his duties.
