Madam Iris Dalaba, the metropolitan Planning Officer for New Juaben south of the Eastern region has called on Ghanaians to take their health issues seriously out of their busy schedules.
Speaking at the maiden edition of Health Talk and Aerobics held at the Koforidua Jackson Park on Saturday, Madam Dalaba, emphasized on the need to take regular exercise serious, as it play major role in ensuring good healthcare at all times.

She particularly, urged the youth to have keen interest in their healthcare by engaging in such activities to ensure they are active and strong to go about their daily routine.
The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Madam Gladys Adu took the participants, who were mostly the youth through their civic responsibilities as citizens of Ghana.
She encouraged the youth to fight for the necessary change now from duty bearers and ensure they participate in national discourse.

She complained bitterly about the recent abuse of illegal drugs by most youth, and therefore, called for participants to make themselves available by ensuring they become agents of change in their various communities.
Meanwhile, the Portfolio manager of Star-Ghana Foundation, Raymond Danso retreated his outfit’s commitment to the development of the youth and assured the various groups present of their continuous support.
He was optimistic such activities would help in the development of the youth and also bring together people from all walks of life to share experiences for others to learn from.

Some participants expressed gratitude to the organizers for such an event and indicated it’s benefit to their healthcare.
The event was organized by the New Juaben South Metropolitan Assemby with support from Star-Ghana Foundation as part of the KOFKRO project.
DMAC Foundation, BBF, Youth Parliament, NYA, NCCE, AFES Ghana, NSS were partners of the event.
