Eletroland Ghana has officially expanded its operations to Koforidua in the Eastern Region, marking a significant step in bringing quality electronics and home appliances closer to customers in the area.
Speaking at the official opening ceremony, Adiza Ibrahim, Head of Marketing and Media Relations at Eletroland Ghana, said the company has been operating successfully in Ghana for more than 20 years. She explained that Eletroland Ghana is the parent company of several well-known brands, including TCL, Samsung, Media, ADBL Chemicals, and Nasco.
According to her, the decision to establish a presence in Koforidua was influenced by the growing demand from customers in the Eastern Region. She noted that while the company was operating from its previous location, management received numerous requests from residents and customers in the region to bring its products and services closer to them.
“We realized that many people in the Eastern Region wanted easier access to our products and services. This encouraged us to establish our presence in Koforidua to better serve our customers,” she said.
Adiza Ibrahim further stated that Eletroland Ghana is a large and growing company with long-term plans for expansion. Instead of operating from a rented shop, the company sought a permanent location for its operations. She expressed gratitude to the New Juaben Traditional Area for providing land that enabled the company to construct its facility in Koforidua.
She described the opening ceremony as a historic moment for the company and reaffirmed Eletroland Ghana’s commitment to providing quality products, excellent customer service, and employment opportunities for residents of the region.
Also addressing the gathering, Nana Twumasi Dankwa, Gyaasehene of the New Juaben Traditional Area, welcomed Eletroland Ghana to Koforidua and praised the company’s decision to invest in the region.
He said the establishment of the company would create employment opportunities for many young people and contribute to the economic growth of the municipality. He noted that not everyone has the resources to establish businesses that can employ large numbers of people, making Eletroland Ghana’s investment particularly valuable.
Nana Twumasi Dankwa also highlighted the convenience the new facility would bring to residents, explaining that people would no longer have to travel to Accra and other cities to purchase quality electronics and household appliances.
He advised workers employed by the company to conduct themselves responsibly, work diligently, and avoid dishonest practices. He reminded them that modern security systems, including CCTV cameras, have been installed to ensure accountability and protect company property.
At the same time, he encouraged management to treat employees fairly and create a positive working environment that promotes trust, commitment, and productivity.
The opening of Eletroland Ghana’s Koforidua branch is expected to boost business activities in the area, improve access to quality electronic products, and create new employment opportunities for residents across the Eastern Region.
